Evangelion is an apocalyptic mecha action series.
fight monstrous beings called Angels, primarily using giant mecha called Evangelions.
For pilot teenagers was selected.

Main charactor Shinji is very weak boy.
He is getting stronger and stronger.

This story is started from Manga which is comic first.
Then TV show airing in midnight.
Because this animation getting popular they change time to aroung 6pm.

This is how this anime was popular.
Recently they still coming out in movies.
And still popular.

In overseas this animation is very popular too.
Many of big fans are cosplay when in halloween or in cosplay contest.
